After serving the Boise area for over a year, Boise Christian Fellowship is headed in a new direction. Part of our ministry has always been to reach out to the Boise area Post-Mormon community and, with so many solid Bible-based churches in the Treasure Valley, we have felt the Lord's leading to step away from our church plant to focus specifically on the Post-Mormon ministry.
Effective immediately, we are discontinuing our Sunday morning services and are in the planning stages for a weekly Sunday afternoon Bible study, open to people from any congregation -- or none at all -- that will be taught from a specifically post-Mormon perspective. It will be a place for post-Mormons to ask difficult questions, learn how Bible verses have been twisted or taken out of context to support LDS doctrine, and find a new and rational life of faith after Mormonism.
We are also in the planning stages to start a monthly secular "meet and greet" gathering of post-Mormons who may not be ready for a "church experience" but are lost, lonely, hurting, and going through the difficult process of leaving Mormonism.
Please stay tuned for details about our new direction soon, and let us know if you feel a calling on your life to join us in this exciting work.
